JULY: Is The Cause – The Pause? Love X Hate
This is an unprecedented time – a planetary reboot. Within the space of upheaval of much that we have come to depend on, old habits, old routines, even old relationships are being re-evaluated. It’s as though someone has hit the “pause” button and we are forced to take an unvarnished look at the way things are right now. Yet in spite of the chaos and division we are seeing on our screens, new heart-based patterns are emerging. The global events occurring now are opening the hearts of the mass of humanity, and in new ways we are remembering the oneness of all life on a more conscious and tangible level. How can we as visionaries inspire healing at this time. . . for ourselves, for others, and for the world?
Hello dear friends,
In my monthly sharing of my thoughts with you which come to me in my quiet moments, perhaps you’ve noticed that I like to start with a question. This is because deep down I know that in any chaotic situation, there is always another way. Wrong minded thinking (according to A Course in Miracles) is seeing with the chaotic perception of ego thinking (thoughts promoting separation) Guilt and blame are the ego’s source of keeping its power of conflict and fear! The other way, and what is real—is the power of our belief in love. Yet, why is my innocence and the innocence of others so darned hard to accept?
On my screen I’ve seen people in the streets holding signs and wearing t-shirts that say things like LOVE NOT HATE, and CHOOSE LOVE. Yet, there are those who would reject even this. It occurred to me that if we could all go back to our youthful state of pure innocence, and experience a taste test of pure love and pure hate, much like a wine tasting, with a completely uncompromised and clean palette – that we would all choose love. But somewhere between then and now, mistakes have been made and the ego’s hate has been made to look appetizing. Now, especially in this pivotal time, we are at the doorstep of change; the opportunity to choose again.
Decision is our one power. We are the creators of our own dream. We may resist the idea that we are responsible for what we see because that means the buck stops with me. Miracles happen when we change our mind to see love instead of fear. While I know not to try to change the world, but to change my mind about the world. . . the correction must be made within the illusion of the world; when change happens in our mind the quality of our experience will change. Does it make a difference in others? In the world? The Course answers: “Miracles are expressions of love but they may not always have observable affects . . . a miracle is never lost. It may touch many people you have not even met, and produce undreamed of changes in situations of which you are not even aware.”
Like a snake shedding its skin, the ego’s negativity and hate are coming up to be healed and purified. Now is a time for boldly unmasking and letting go of hate. We are in an intense process of transformation both personally and collectively, and we have an opportunity to bring forth our deepest gifts to be lifted up and healed in the process. What are the choices we should make? The thoughts we should think? The answers are there in the silence. Invite your silent companion, your still small voice, and then just listen. “If you only knew who walks beside you in the way you have chosen, fear would be impossible.” – ACIM.

And the people stayed home.
And read books, and listened, and
rested, and exercised, and made art,
and played games, and learned new
ways of being, and were still. And
listened more deeply. Some
meditated, some prayed, some
danced. Some met their shadows.
And the people began
To think differently.
And the people healed.
And, in the absence of people living
in ignorant, dangerous, mindless,
and heartless ways,
the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed,
and the people joined together again,
They grieved their losses, and made
new choices, and dreamed new
images, and created new ways to live
and heal the earth fully,
as they had been healed.
