JANUARY: Unity Consciousness

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD

Joy, love, belonging—isn’t that what we all want?  Power, wealth, greed – is that enough if we don’t have the first?  I think we know that to gain the whole world, and lose our soul -- is not enough.

Hello dear friends,

A very happy New Year to you, and many blessings for new beginnings. For a long period now, we have lived through a time of us against them.  But there is no “them.”  All life is interconnected.  This lesson has been difficult. The dregs of darkness have come up to be transmitted by the light of love. Now, as the pendulum returns to focus on what is good for us all, so too does our joy increase.

Sometimes oneness and unity are hard to imagine.  When I began to trust an inner voice telling me not only am I innocent—but underneath our worldly personalities—everyone is innocent . . . that was a hard one for me.  Yet, as I allowed myself to see through the eyes of non-judgment, I had experiences of love and peace unlike anything I’d ever known. Even though the loving, peaceful experiences didn’t last, I knew I was being assured I was going the right way. Only love is real, and only love can heal.

Einstein said, “The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or a hostile universe.”  The solution lies within our mind.  The one mind knows everything, and in this world of duality . . . good bad, tears, laughter, it’s always possible to wake up to what our mind already knows . . . that we are all precious expressions of God’s love (no matter how awake or lost we are at this time.) Or we can choose to live in our separateness and find ourselves lonely, sad and lost.

Yes, it’s hard to imagine as we watch the violence on the news or our least favorite politicians on the screen, that they are me and I am them.  But we are always in process; learning to choose once again, and to see the higher.  How we see another does make a difference.  Every thought, (good or bad) word, and action has unmeasurable and often unknowable consequences—for others and for ourselves.

Last month I quoted the following from The Course and I’ve been asked to clarify.  Here, the Course is addressing the illusory dream world that we think we have made.  “You live by symbols.  In this world, you have made up names for everything you see, thus you think you have established a unity which functions with an independent will—but all the while, its enemy is wholeness.” Wk. Bk. L 184, 1

This is telling us that our condition of disconnected bodies, and special worldly images in our dream experience keeps us prisoners of the illusion of separateness.  As we awaken to our true identity, we realize that we are not bodies, even though this is our experience, it is not real, and all along we have been one.  “However, just because it’s an illusion of form, doesn’t mean that something grand isn’t taking place.” TGIC

Joy comes with the undoing.  Letting go of the insanity of crazy worldly thinking, and welcoming the sanity of love is the quest of the happy learner.  I’ve shared my challenges in Thank God I’m Crazy which taught me it was worth the journey I was being shown that required me to consciously undo whatever stood in the way of my own happiness: letting go of guilt and my past, finding forgiveness for myself and for others, and learning to see that deep inside everyone is the same.

We are the music-makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.”

The unforgettable image I was shown in my visions of kaleidoscopic light was the revolving and reformation of beautifully multicolored, exquisite diamond-like shapes bearing a brilliance that multiplied each time one image met with another.  So too, we are like diamonds in the rough, and as each of us come together with our issues, by allowing love to lead us through, we are sanding away for each other whatever is keeping our light from shining.

Best of all, it was no accident that my response to the calming sanity of the Kaleidoscopic light was to laugh. Because if we can let go of fear and laugh together at ourselves, it returns us to the sanity of the love that we really are.

So until next time,

When you find yourself staring into the headlights of fear—as I often do, stop and tell yourself, I am insane right now—then laugh 😊and say THANK GOD I’M CRAZY!
