MARCH: The Language Of The Holographic Dream
– SYMBOLS -
This is the second of 3 Newsletters in which I share what it means to me to awaken from the dream — while learning to make this illusory life a happy dream.
By listening to the voice for God or the Holy Spirit—and if you are willing—the Holy Spirit will use any and every symbolic thing in the dream of life to activate your higher knowing for the lessons you are ready to learn. Then, to learn the lesson requires practice—until you become it. And there will always be more lessons—until there aren’t. But now you know the drill, and eventually the lessons become easier. Instead of denying to look at, and release hidden fears and guilt that hold you in the past, or waiting days, weeks or months to forgive, you have become aware of the peace that awaits if you just do it! It’s simple. It’s not easy. IT’S A PROCESS! 😊
Hello dear friends,
Can you feel it? The oneness of Spring as the energy around us seems to come alive? An old standard song plays in my head . . . “I’m as giddy as a spider spinning day dreams/I’m as happy as a puppet on a string . . .” It reminds me that I’m not a body—and I’m not separate from you. We are a Mind spinning day dreams. And our Mind knows everything and that’s how we are remembering—and waking up to joy!
By remembering to see only with love, I can find joy by undoing the craziness of this worldly dream of suffering, and hate, thus peeling away the insanity of this illusion to re-veal the real me, and the real world. . . but. . . that’s easier said than done.
I remember in that moment on the mountain, when I saw a purpose for my prophetic visions, I knew I’d been given encouraging guidance to awaken to what had already happened. I was shown events that would happen to me to show me that the script was already written. But, as I found out, it’s not that easy just to “know.” My awakening depends upon how I daily choose to look at what seems to be happening to me and others, particularly in my relationships.
For me, it was helpful to see the first image from my visions of evergreen trees-- and subsequent manifesting images-- as symbols; their very presence stirred a knowing within me that I couldn’t explain in the everyday world of form. And what is more, they marked times of intense growth. It was then that all things in my world started to take on a different meaning.
“Something was happening here that was beyond my understanding . . . Some law of truth—another dimension—was being shown to me. Even though my life had come crashing down around me, I was assured at that moment that there was a greater plan. And that everything was as it was intended to be . . . and some way, somehow, I was going to be alright.” TGIC - p.34, 35 – click here for Amazon page.
Prophetic images given to me were Spirit’s way of speaking truth to me in the dream. This is one way that Spirit can speak to each of us. The principal or dynamic of learning through the dream world’s symbols holds true for all of us, in the same way that we can learn from symbols in our night dreams.
Because God is already in our Mind, the Holy Spirit can use everything in the dream to help us awaken, if we let him. No one symbol is any more important than another. They all lead to God in the end. I can’t explain it better than A Course in Miracles. Here are some phrases found in one of my favorite lessons; A Course in Miracles L 184. (punctuation mine)
“You live by symbols. You have made up names for everything you see . . .By this split you think you are established as a unity which functions with an independent will . . . To question it is madness; to accept its presence is the poof of sanity. Such is the teaching of the world.
But it is a phase of learning everyone who comes must go through. . . learning that stops with what the world would teach stops short of meaning. In its proper place it serves but as a starting point from which another kind of learning can begin, a new perception can be gained . . . what is true in earth and Heaven is beyond your naming.
. . . You have need to use the symbols of the world awhile. They do not stand for anything at all, and in your practicing, it is this thought that will release you from them. Thus, what you need are intervals each day in which the learning of the world becomes a transitory phase.
Use all the little names and symbols which delineate the world of darkness. Yet accept them not as your reality. The Holy Spirit uses all of them, but He does not forget creation has one Name, one meaning, and a single Source which unifies all things within Itself . . . do not forget they share the Name of God along with you. And yet, His Name becomes the final lesson that all things are one, and at this lesson does all learning end . . . all space is filled with truth’s reflection.”
This is a wonderful and profound concept. When receiving any guidance through Christ’s vision—or symbolic vision, a new perception of our reality can begin. Each time we are to ask the question, “What is this for?” Answer: It is always a way to forgive the dream, thus releasing any hold of seeming reality that it has on the real and holy you.
In the world of time, we think in linear terms, yet time is holographic. It’s all happening simultaneously. (a hard concept to grasp) Everything in the holographic dream is a part of the One mind. (Hologram means whole message) Just as one part of DNA contains every part—so I am part of that one Mind which knows everything. Suddenly I understand that God is in everything I see, because . . . God is also in my mind. Everything in the dream can become a teaching symbol. Symbols are the language of the dream.
As my visionary images happened, I was shown that with each manifestation this was a critical opportunity for me to grow. I learned that growth comes by letting go of collective guilt and past guilt (which I did not know I had), by looking at what my relationships are for, and by learning how to forgive—but not in the “world’s way of forgiving. We forgive our brother for what he did not do, because this is a dream. This positive denial—with love is “forgiveness.”
Over time, by trusting my symbolic images and my inner voice, with help from others, and the structure of ACIM, Spirit not only showed me that everything in the dream (including symbols) is part of the insanity of our one tiny mad idea of separateness—and it is also my job to learn to overlook it.

So, this is our assignment, if we choose to accept it. 😊 . . . we all know that Tom Cruise always beat the odds!
